An employee going through a divorce can become, at times, less productive than they are normally. It’s understood you have a business to run and there’s room for only so much personal baggage. At the same time, consider the fact that divorced women often make the most loyal and most productive workers once the dust has settled.
Besides the new perspective they have on the importance of the income, they repay an employers’ patience and loyalty during their trying times with a greater re-dedication to their duties. The workplace becomes a place where they can focus on being productive and prove their value - not only to the employer but also to themselves.
In many instances, relationships with fellow workers strengthen as a greater sense of friendship and work-family develops. There may be some short term speed bumps associated with having a divorcing employee but, in the long run, the benefits of helping them see it through more than compensate.
IF YOU HAVE AN FEMALE EMPLOYEE WHO IS CURRENTLY GOING THROUGH A DIVORCE WE CAN HELP HER AND, BY DEFAULT, HELP YOU AS WELL.
Please contact us or direct the divorcing employee to this site.
